  1. Maybe not iconic in the rock scene, but one of the first guitar solos that really influenced me was "Lazy" by Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple). A couple gems by Johnny Winter. I didn't even listen to Molly Hatchet but I have to admit "Flirtin with Disaster" was amazing and it grabs me to this day. I could go on and on

  2. I like all your videos I’ve seen. Must ask though do you have something against Zakk wylde??? Between pride and glory, ozzy, and bls thought I’d have seen at least one??

  3. I was already wondering if Comfortably Numb was ever going to appear on the list😅 Great one by the way but then again a very particular and personnal choice. I love the Steely Dan choices but miss one of the infinite number of solos: Keith Richard's Sympathy for the Devil's live version from the master piece Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! 💗

  4. Unfortunately, for now, I'm one of those musicians who subscribes to your channel. ( Which means I've spent my money at the music store) I will get to you when I can . What do you think of the solo on " a gypsy's kiss" by Deep Purple.?

  5. Comfortably Numb really stands alone as a solo not so much for its dexterity difficulty like an Eddie van Halen or a Jimi solo, but for being the culmination of the emotions in the lyrics and a more mad and desperate replay of the first solo. Literally the crescendo of the song which you can unconsciously float along with as an outer body experience, as opposed to most other solos which are a different and disconnected interlude in the middle of the song which you consciously know is a guitarist fiendishly picking his way along the strings.

  6. Personal choice but great choices..
I've always gone for feel…how it lifts me over technique which you obviously do as a musician…So..I prefer Pink Floyds Time solo over C Dumb ..Other mentions for me Barclay J Harvest.. Marshall Plan….
Thin Lizzy L& Dangerous Still in Love with you…and for construction..Mick Ronson,Angel number 9…and my very favourite DRAGONFORCE,TRAIL OF A BROKEN HEART…Take a listen ..
