UPON ANNOUNCEMENT: FRESH ALBUM REVEALED BY WITHIN THE RUINS, LISTEN TO “Castle In The Sky”

Date:

WITHIN THE RUINS comes back with a brand new release titled Phenomena II, set to drop on August 23 and unveils the latest track “Castle In The Sky” now accessible for streaming! The album acts as a sequel to WITHIN THE RUINS‘s 2014 album Phenomena, marking the band’s initial endeavor since Black Heart in 2020.

“When you immerse yourself in our sound, we aim for you to sense a wave of novel metal,” expressed guitarist Joe Cocchi from WITHIN THE RUINS. “Following a lengthy tenure in any field, it’s effortless to fall into routines. That’s why we consistently strive to offer something unprecedented—and exclusive to our reverberations.”

Phenomena II came to fruition at Cocchi‘s personal Tin Bridge Brewing establishment in Westfield, MA, and was helmed by Cocchi himself.

“We had penned a selection of tracks, combing for inspiration,” shared Cocchi. “We desired to honor the ten-year anniversary of Phenomena, as it stood as a peak moment in our trajectory. I drafted a demo that resonated with [vocalist Steve Tinnon]’s recollection of Phenomena. So, it was his proposal to fabricate Phenomena II. The musical styles impeccably aligned; featuring distinct guitar effects and narratives wherein each composition narrates a tale from the perspective of a comic book character.”

In reference to the single, Cocchi remarked: “Right from the onset, it embodies all the elements fans anticipate from us. There’s a hint of vintage WITHIN THE RUINS essence in there. Thematically, it’s rooted in The Punisher. A war veteran who endures the loss of his kin. The core dilemma being, ‘Does he prefer to exist alone or reunite with his family in the celestial citadel?'”

Reservations for Phenomena II can be made here.
