It took me almost twenty years to realize how unique this band is.Better late than never.Becoming a fan😀
Could the intro be more Van der Graaf generator, please ??? * This being a huge compliment btw .
Playing this live must be … well … yeah , " Nothingface " … nevermind …
This is very much closing in on Jim Thirwells "Foetus". 😀
Nice.
🤘🏻
Alien metal
here for the subliminal fly guy
Perfe t
Super Voivod!!!!Un grupo de toda la vida…
Excellent! Je retiens que les bons ont les cheveux longs! Je travaille là dessus, même si je suis un biologiste.
brillante ! ♥
I first heard of Voivod in 2010 when I saw Nothingface on some random top 10 prog metal albums ever and now it feels like a lifetime ago. I can't imagine what it's like for the fans that have been around since the beginning, listening to this bizarre and beautiful album The Wake decades later and Voivod hasn't stopped making the most incredible and unique music. So happy I got to see them in 2019, met a couple of the guys too after the show, they were so nice and humble ❤️
I wonder if the intro was inspired by Atom Heart Mother?
King Voivod!!!
Oh my god what a bunch of geniuses. That far in they’re carrer and still so creative and productive.
Wonderful! Wish it was out on CD or wav files so I could buy and make a CD. Their store link is busted.
Man i want to see that movie
The Bohemian Rhapsody of metal…no doubt about it!
Cheers from Coimata, Bolivia my friends!!! Voivod for the eternity!
A masterpiece. The Wake and Synchro Anarchy albums are just fantastic…
Da Zeuhl Wortz VOiVOD! Merveilleux!
I believe Chewy arrangements and Snake lyrics
Brillante composition. Je retrouve ici – ce que je n'espérais plus – l'inventivité et l'atmosphère tragique de l'album NOTHINGFACE.
Epic…no less than incredible for this stage in the band's career.
un titre extraordinaire à l'origine, mais cette version avec les cuivres est tout simplement sublime. et ce solo de guitare… je reste sans voie. du grand Art
The End of Dormancy came out BEFORE the pandemic … mmmmmh WHAT DID VOIVOD KNOW??? Just kidding! Loooooove you guys, been a fan since 1986!!!
it's really good. the jazz, the metal, the bauhaus, the 50s sci-fi, the progrock, the horror, the editing, the aesthetic, the acting, … so it's basically perfect. the only thing missing is a guitar solo, the kind guthrie govan or alan holdsworth or scott henderson or maybe alex lifeson would play. but then that might also just distract from all the other stuff that's going on. so it's basically perfect. 🙂
The Mr Bungle influence though 🧐
Mr Bungle meets Gustav Holst meets Coroner meets Mercyful Fate 😂 What a cool band this is!
🤘
Voivod is like if someone put Rush and Motorhead in a blender and left it on the fastest setting.
No other band can release new material 40 years into their run that sounds this good.
This is just so unbelievably amazing I'm literally crying. The horns make this just perfect. 👌I just wish there was more music like this… 🙁 its so difficult for me to find interesting music nowadays
MEGA !!!!! VOIVOD FOREVER !!!!
MAGMA!
What an experience is listen to this song and watch the video
This is pretty 💩. VoiVod died when Piggy died. Chewy sucks.
Please do more of that jazz brass stuff 😊
Epic. Music, lyrics, concept , video. I guess it will be great when they will perform it with Montreal's symphonic orchestra. I hope they will publish or upload this concert somewhere. Chewy and Rocky are the guarantee for the continuation of this great band. We are connected
Im 52 and LOVE TOO!!! !
Strong echoes of KING CRIMSON's "RED" album & that's a very good thing. Long live VOÏVOD !
