Saw them open for " Black Sabbath Featuring Tony Iommi" and 95 percent of the audience was there for W.A.S.P. They blew the roof off the London Gardens.
It's a shame Blackie bowed down to the PMRC and lightened everything up on the Last Command. I think they would have been bigger.

I was prepared for torture but this one is actually pretty good. No stranger to the band here, I will say you can definitely see the tension between the two elephants in the room. Chris is the man of course. Blackie is his bitch!

Reading through all these comments of people thrilled with this live performance I came to realise that wasp had so many fans with no ear for melody….how interesting….I though it was more than obvious that WASP, as great as they are in studio, suck live….and this is one such real live concert…with no studio fixing the sound like “Live in the Ras”

Hail Chris Holmes! Also this sounds better than most concert sound does now, the past 14 years something changed and shows just aren't kick you in the chest loud anymore. I've seen a variety of bands from large mainstream concerts to death metal fests to shows in bars and the overall volume of everything has gotten lower with a few exceptions. Mainly I can tell this was fucking loud.

WASP is the quintessential metal band. I have a great story about a beautiful girl, my best friend, a shit hole Mexican hotel in Escondido and a fuck ton of Rum. It didnt turn out well, but we wore The Last Command completely thin.. The Widow Maker is a monster.

Just pointing out…even though this is 9 years ago, Blackie was nearly 60 when this was recorded and that growling, perfect voice of his has remained as flawlessly wicked as it was in the early 80's when they started. Yeah, you see old rock stars still lacin' up the boots but almost always need to play songs 3 whole tones flatter to keep nailing the vocal and most still sound old…I can only think of 3 Metal singers other than Blackie that still have the chops they began with over 40 years ago. Always one of my favorite bands.
