Whether a song is political now-a-days, it’s hard not to hear any political meaning in tracks that are just vague enough to be applicable to what is happening around us. Especially within a genre that is so heavily rooted within anti-establishment and against the status-quo.
However, when Chevelle is talking about “catfishing the government” and “not giving an inch,” there definitely feels something politically charged about the track.
For the first time in four years, Chevelle have dropped a new single, “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1),” and it really isn’t that far of a stretch from the band’s various vague political messages in their 2011 record, Hats Off To The Bull.
Having just announced their headline tour featuring Asking Alexandria and Dead Poet Society later this year, a new record feels almost inevitable.
