Fans waited damn near two decades for this moment, but it finally happened! Slipknot finally played their 2008 track “Gematria (The Killing Name)” (from All Hope Is Gone) for the first time ever live at Knotfest Australia in Melbourne on February 28. Predictably the track ripped, thanks in part to the drumming of Eloy Casagrande.
It’s also worth noting that founding Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan was absent from the show due to a family emergency. The full setlist from Knotfest Australia in Melbourne was as follows:
- “(sic)”
- “People = Shit”
- “Gematria (The Killing Name)” (Live debut)
- “Wait and Bleed”
- “No Life”
- “Yen”
- “The Devil in I”
- “The Heretic Anthem”
- “Psychosocial”
- “Unsainted”
- “Duality”
- “Spit It Out”
- “Surfacing”
- “Scissors”
