Ghost is the First Rock/Metal Band to Top the Billboard 200 in Four Years

We have some normal Ghost news for you, and no, we’re not talking about a restock of their very freaky Mother’s Day “Ghildo” launch.

For the first time in four years, Ghost has reached the top of the Billboard 200 with their latest album, Skeletá. The last hard rock band to have this title was AC/DC in 2020 with their lockdown full-length POWER UP.

Skeletá is Ghost’s sixth studio album and was released on Loma Vista Recordings on April 25. The record has since sold a collective of 86,000 equivalent album units across digital and physical sales. This was in the first week of its release alone.

Alongside topping the US charts, Skeletá has made it in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland.

We all know that heavier music is rarely given the time of day in mainstream listening and streaming stats. And for the first time in a long while, Ghost has proven all the normies wrong.

As of current, Ghost are working their way through their Skeletour. With European dates throughout May and US dates commencing in July. You can find the full list of dates below and get your tickets right now.
